Good Luck Holly!

National Development Squad Camp

Gisborne's own Holly Donnelly has been invited to attend the camp that will select the National Squad.  Squash New Zealand's Operations Manager, Wayne Werder was pleased to say how impressed they were by Holly's form and results this year which was enough to have her attend the camp with other young up and coming squash players.

Holly started learning to play squash at the age of 12 at the HSOB (High School Old Boys) Squash Club in 2000.  That year she also joined the SurfCitySquash Club so she could join in on Edmund Bradford's training programe.  By the end of the season  Holly had made E Grade and played number one for the HSOB F Grade women's team who competed at the F Grade National Teams event in Whangarei.

Holly went on to the E Grade Nationals in Auckland in 2001 where the HSOB team finished 3rd and again in 2002 she went to C Grade National Secondary Schools Squash Tournament in Palmeston North.

Holly still trains under the guidance of Edmund Bradford and is also training with the SurfCity Women's B Grade team for the up and coming Regional Eliminations in late July.  She has the Development Training Squad Camp on the 10th July, North Island junior Age Groups in hawkes Bay 11th - 13th july and the National Junior age groups are in early October.
